Gower limped off during Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Cardiff City at the Liberty – a victory which took the Swans into the fourth round of the competition for the first time in over 30 years.
And with the Swans now in the hat for the last 16 draw tomorrow, Gower is fancying a chance to pit his wits against his former side at the Liberty and also the club that most of his family support.
Gower told the Evening Post “You want one or the other. Some people either want a Premier League side or one of the lesser teams at home.
“You don’t really want a Championship side.
“Some fans would want someone like Rotherham – no disrespect to them – because they are low down in League Two and we would go into it as favourites.
“When I was at Southend we drew Spurs twice away in the FA Cup and Carling Cup. Spurs at the Liberty would be a great occasion – I wouldn’t grumble at that.
“That would be a special game for me because my family are all Spurs supporters.”
