Planet Swans ArchivesWolves had picked up 22 points from a possible 24 before they lost 3-0 to Reading at home on Tuesday night and Roberto thinks it is probably a bad thing that they come to Swansea on the back of a defeat.
He believes that Wolves will react to that defeat and with the addition of Carlos Edwards to their squad will be ready to bounce back against his Swansea side tomorrow.
The season will enter the second international break after the game and Roberto will be keen to get the victory that should see his side enter that period in the top half of the table.
He told the Western Mail “It is probably a bad thing Wolves lost for the first time because now they will have to react to it
“We can see the sort of club we are facing when they get an injury, and straight away they get Carlos Edwards in from the Premiership.
“It is a great challenge for us. I think it is one of the big, big occasions for the Liberty Stadium.
“The atmosphere we have had recently there has given all the players confidence. The supporters are acting as our 12th man now.
“But Wolves will be a huge test for us. They are the league leaders and have started the season in tremendous fashion.
“Mick McCarthy gets his side very organised and very strong. He has got huge experience.
“Wherever Wolves play they set the standards and the tempo of the game.
“They will want to control things, try to dictate things, but it is going to be an open game because we are not the kind of side to be defensive-minded ourselves.
“Our players are very confident right now. What we need to do is concentrate on ourselves. We need to be on top of our game in every match and make sure we keep improving. If we do that, we will be fine.”
