Swansea City take on the Hornets for the second time in three days tomorrow after beating them 3-1 atthe Liberty on Sunday in a league clash.
This time the prize on offer is a place in the Quarter Finals of the Carling Cup with the Swans favourites to repeat their league success.
However, Roberto was not reading anything into the first result as he told the Swans official website, swanseacity.net “To play the same team twice at the same venue within the space of three days is quite bizarre, but that’s the prize of being successful in the cup.
“Now there is an even bigger prize available with a place in the quarter-finals for the first time in the club’s history.
“I think both clubs will have learnt a bit about each other from Sunday’s encounter. But all games are different, even if they are only three days apart, and cup ties tend to be more open and exciting.”
While Roberto refused to show his hand regarding team selection, he is expected to utilise his squad.
“Whatever team goes out there they will be expected to win the game,” he added. “Some of the players who played on Sunday will be ready for another game so soon, others won’t. That’s where the squad comes into it – and they will be ready.
“Many players in the squad have been working extremely hard without getting many minutes on the pitch. Perhaps a few will get their chance to show how good they are.
“If they show the same energy and determination as Sunday, I’ll be happy.”
