Factor in Bolton Wanderers, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion and the list of rumoured clubs stretches to 25% of the Premiership as the demand for Ferrie seemingly gets higher.
Thankfully there is nothing at the moment beyind paper speculation but with each passing day it seems to become more and more inevitable that someone will come in with an offer for the Dutch midfielder in the new year.
And whilst some of the clubs rumoured can possibly not be regarded as a huge step up the attraction of 40,000 Geordies at St James Park every week would seem an attractive one to the player although as stated earlier there is nothing more than press speculation at this moment.
