The news on the Swansea City midfielder was confirmed this afternoon after a MRI scan and he becomes the second Swans player to have their season ended in the last month – Marcos Painter suffered the same fate recently.
Bodde has been instrumental in the Swans success in the season to date having notched 7 goals but that will be his final tally with the player not going to pull on a Swansea shirt until next season.
Richie Evans told the official site “Ferrie has ruptured his cruciate ligament and torn his cartilage in his left knee
“The MRI scan confirmed our fears and although he will see another consultant next week, Ferrie will be out for around six months.
“It will rule him out for the rest of the season and everyone, including Ferrie, is devastated.”
