The Cardiff City midfielder was reported initially as being set to miss the derby clash with Swansea City because of a bad finger.
But now he believes he is ready to go and is looking forward he believes to putting wrong the rights of the Carling Cup clash back in September.
On that night he received an early booking and was powerless to have any impact as the Swans deservedly won through the game.
Speaking to the South Wales Echo on Friday, Ledley said โIโve got an appointment today and hopefully the stitches will come out. The consultant is looking to put a lightweight cast around it and, with a bit of luck, the referee will allow me to play with the cast. But, put it this way, if the referee says no they can take it off and Iโll tape the fingers up and play without it. I donโt want to miss this fixture for the world โ and certainly not just because of a finger injury!
โI will be available to the gaffer for selection there is no doubt about that, Iโm fit and ready to go.
โAs much as it pains me to say it, Swansea were the better side last time โ but we are all aiming to make up for that.
โThis encounter will be far different from the last time we met, I and the rest of the lads are confident of that.
โWeโve got Premiership class in the team for a start and I think the players from outside the area have the bit between their teeth more for this one.
โTake it from me, we were all absolutely gutted last time for ourselves and the supporters and they will not want to go through that experience again, โI even think somebody said at the time remember this feeling for the next time weโre back here.
โTheir goal was from a free-kick and I got my booking from charging in and had to be careful for the rest of the game and that affected me and the way the team wanted to play.
โIt is a case of keeping our heads and learning from our last encounter.
โBut one thing is for sure we will be a different proposition than last time, we all owe ourselves, the supporters, and the club a better game then in September.โ
