Davey told News of the World “My mum, dad and brother will be at Tuesday’s game.
“They live in Swansea and support the Swans so it will be a big occasion for them.
“But blood is thicker than water so I’m sure they will want me to win.
“They’re big Swansea fans but I think they’ll make an exception on Tuesday night. They know what the industry is like so they will want me to do well.
“I never played against Swansea as a player and this will be my first game against them as a manager.
“It will be a special night for me because I’ve supported the club all my life.”
Davey left the club in 1992 after just over 50 appearances in three years scoring on four occasions.
