The new Swansea City midfielder told the Evening Post “Swansea were keen to get me as soon as possible and when a club comes for you straight away you know that’s probably the club you should go to

“The gaffer here met me and he wanted me to play football and that’s all I wanted to hear really.

“The first time I came here was when Sheffield United played here a couple of weeks back. I’d been to Cardiff before, but never Swansea.

“I’ve seen them play and they’re the best footballing side I’ve ever seen.

“I want to get games, score a couple of goals and, hopefully, go from there and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.

“I was up in Sheffield on loan. I was training hard there, but I wasn’t really getting a chance,” said Dyer.

“I wanted to play a bit more football than I did so, hopefully, I can do that here. I’d describe myself as an attacking winger who likes to run at players, provide some goals and, hopefully, score some as well.

“I’m at an age where I need to play. I’ve played a lot of games in the Championship, so I know what it’s all about, I just need to be playing regularly. But I’m not expecting to walk into the side at all. I’m going to train hard and earn my place.”
