The Swansea City manager watched his side record their victory at Turf Moor thanks to a double from Jason Scotland – his 10th and 11th strikes of the season.
And that double bought praise from Roberto who was becoming increasingly frustrated that his team were not getting the results that their play deserved.
Speaking after the game, Martinez said “Jason is a magic player. When he is on top of his game he is someone who people will pay to watch him.
“It’s great to see him enjoy his football because that means goals and goals win games.
“Sometimes in football your performances don’t get you the results you deserve,” he added. “I think that was the case during our run of draws.
“We are still growing at this level and to go eight games unbeaten before today’s game was a huge positive considering we’ve just been promoted from League One.
“It was another good performance and we are starting to use the experience we’ve gained from the 26 games we’ve played at this level.
“It’s great to get a win in such a difficult place. Burnley are in the middle of a fantastic season and it’s credit to the players to get a good result here.
“If we keep performing well then the rewards will come at the end of the season.”
