He may be just 25 minutes into his Swansea City career but he believes he may have already seen enough to prove that the Swans can push on from their current position.

10th place in the Championship on their first season in the division is a more than satisfactory return for most but Dyer believes it is just the start for the squad who finally won a game on Saturday after eight successive draws.

Speaking to the Evening Post after his debut, the on loan Southampton man said ”For Swansea to come up from League One and be where they are now, that is saying something

”That is showing you have a quality manager, staff and players. It’s a great club.

”Swansea can go as far as they want to go. We have just got to keep working hard and keep focus. Hopefully I can be a part of that.

”Anybody that knows football and likes good passing sides will see that Swansea have the ability and players.

”You have good players that have come from overseas and non-league, and they have proved they can do the business.

”People who would have watched this game on Sky would have seen that although Burnley are still up there, Swansea are a very dangerous side and are capable of winning in the toughest of places.

”They have got the right attributes in every department. That is a good sign of a balanced side. We have got midfielders that can play, big strong defenders and the attackers can score goals. The wingers help lay on the goals — that’s what I want to be doing.

”I was pleased to get on for my debut

”With a bit of time for the boys to get used to me and the other way around, hopefully I can show my pace and hurt teams.

”There were a couple of times where the boys could have knocked it over the top and I would have been there, but I’ve spoken to the gaffer and he said it’s been a while since they had someone that you can knock it over the top and someone will be there.

”You can see the boys know each other inside out, and they show that by playing great football on the ground.”
