The Swansea City midfielder will miss out on his international debut, a cup tie against his former side and the Swans current play off push thanks to the injury he picked up against Preston on Tuesday night.
Up to 10 weeks out was the diagnosis and Pratley must now sit on the sidelines and see his team mates do the job without him.
Speaking to News of the World, Pratley said “I’m absolutely devastated. The injury hasn’t sunk in yet.
“I’m going to miss the Fulham and Jamaica games not to mention a load of important league games. I’m totally gutted I just can’t believe this has happened.
“February was looking like a dream month for me. I was going to join up with Jamaica then play my old club in the FA Cup. On top of that we’re pushing for the play offs. The team was doing well and I was pleased with my form. Everything was looking great.
“After we beat Portsmouth I said I wanted to draw Fulham in the cup and we were drawn against them. It was a fantastic tie for me because that’s where i started my career. I was buzzing when we were drawn against them.
“I really wanted to do well. I wanted to show them how far I’ve progressed. And the Jamaica game would have been a proud day for me and my family.
“John Barnes rang me on Thursday and told me to keep my chin up. He told me I would be back soon.”
