Facing huge financial difficulties the Hampshire club could let the highly rated 21 year old leave for a fraction of the asking price a few months ago. Swansea are thought to have offered £500,000 for the services of the midfielder which would smash the club's record transfer fee.
However Swans boss Roberto Martinez has cooled speculation over the prospect of signing the Southampton trainee at the end of the season as he told Planet Swans, he said “In all the loans there is a three party negotiation and its hard to predict at the end of the season. I want to hear what Nathan has got to say.”
Dyer has impressed the Swansea City faithful in his 11 appearances for the club and the Spaniard is adamant that he will do everything in his power to try and keep hold of the Trowbridge born striker and stave off the interest from premiership clubs , he added “We will do everything we can to try and keep him. He comes from a club that has been in the championship for a while and has attracted attention from premiership clubs and has got fantastic potential and is only a young man and in that respect is a special footballer and if Nathan wants to stay at Swansea city we will do everything we can to keep him here.”
No official confirmation has been forthcoming regarding the speculation over Dyer's future.
