The Swans travel to Bramall Lane with both sides knowing that only a victory will really keep alive their diminishing hopes of either play offs (Swansea) and automatic promotion (Sheffield United)
The Blades defeat on Monday night left the Swans four points off the play off zone with just two games left to play whilst the home side are four points away from automatic promotion with again two games left.
And Izzy Iriekpen – who played against the Swans for Bristol City on Saturday – has declared the Blades as a horrible team telling the Evening Post "When you look at the teams who are in there at the moment you would probably have to fancy Sheffield United to go up through the play-offs.
"They have been playing some ugly football but they have been getting results. They are horrible to watch. I saw them play against Reading on Sky the other week and their football was horrible but the fact is they won the game.
"It's certainly going to be a clash of stules next weekend but hopefully Swansea's football will see them through.
"It's going to be a tough one especially as Sheffield United are still in with a chance of getting automatic promotion. The fact is it's not in Swansea's hands and they need other teams to slip up.
"But all they can do is try and win their own games and see where it takes them. Everyone has got tought games left and if Swansea can win at Sheffield you'd think they'll have a good chance.
"Swansea play some good football. In fact they are probably the best footballing side in the division. That doesn't always get you where you want to be but I hope Swansea can do it.
"I have still got a lot of friends at the club and in the city and I would like to see them do well. I had four brilliant years at Swansea and, now that we can't make it, I would like to see them go on and win the play offs.
"They are probably going to need two more wins to have a chance. If they can get in there on the back of five straight wins they'll have a good chance."
