Killen has only found the net once for the Glasgow club since joining in the summer of 2007 and is thought to be looking to secure a move away from Parkhead before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Sousa has bolstered his attacking force in the last few days with the signings of Craig Beattie and Lee Trundle, but with Stephen Dobbie facing up to a month out, the Swans boss could be tempted to delve back into the market.

Killen would bring a lot of versatility to the Swans squad – the New Zealander can either play up front or out wide and is generally recognised as a target man due to his height.

He arguably found his best form when at Hibernian, scoring 16 goals in 24 games and also enjoyed an impressive spell on loan at Port Vale, scoring 6 in 9 matches.

It’s thought that the fee for Killen would be in the region of around £150k, as he is out of contract next summer at Celtic Park.
