The return of Trundle on Saturday boosted what would have been a low gate for the 1-1 draw with Watford and whilst the homecoming was not perfect – Trundle missed a glorious chance towards the end – Sousa had seen enough to know that the loan signing will help the club as they prepare to progress.
Trundle's all round contribution in his twenty minute appearance was enough to persaude the Swans boss of that and he told Wales Online “He brings a lot of enthusiasm to everyone, he is very strong in and around the box and we believe in these difficult moments he can help us with his quality.
“If that wasn’t the case he wouldn’t be here. It’s not just to bring the fans to the stadium because that’s not enough.
“He needs to do something and help our team while he is here with us.
“That’s what he did against Watford and that’s what I expect from him in all the games.”
