Van der Gun’s agent has confirmed that the Swans have made the former Netherlands U-21 player an offer, and they are hopeful that a deal can be pushed through.
The former Ajax wideman left FC Utrecht earlier this summer after making 52 appearances in 3 seasons for the club, scoring 17 goals.
Paulo Sousa has been on the lookout for a left winger since arriving at the club and has also been linked with a move for former Fulham and Cardiff man Julian Gray, also a free agent.
“Cedric is very interested in the move to Swansea,” said Jansen. “They have made an offer and we are currently negotiating.
“It’s not finalised yet, but I am hopeful it can go through. The player is willing to join Swansea, but they have to get the deal right.
“They are not far off. We are just waiting to hear back from them.
“I don’t know when the move will go through. We are just waiting for Swansea.”
