The Swans go in search of their first home league win of the season on Saturday against Sheffield United with Bodde in line for his first start since last Novevmber.
A couple of sub appearances have seen the Dutchman return to action and that could continue this weekend as he is in line for making a start in the heart of the Swans midfield looking to help them secure that elusive win.
Bodde is one earmarked to also start knocking the goals in as the Swans look at a return of just three goals in eight games to date although Bodde insists it’s more about winning games than personal glory.
He told the Evening Post “I’m happy that I can play some part in the squad, we’re slowly building up and my leg feels fantastic
“I’m 100 per cent fit, but you have to get used to playing again and get used to the system.
“My target is first to get 90 minutes under my belt. Of course I want to score goals, but the most important thing is to get some wins no matter who scores.”
Bodde could feature in a Swans side which must cope with Sheffield United’s power. The Blades are among the more physical sides in the Championship, but Bodde is convinced Swansea can prevail if they get tactics right.
“Tomorrow we have a very strong side against us although football-wise we are better,” he claimed.
“We have to trust ourselves and have confidence that we can prove that on the pitch. We are a footballing team. We are not the biggest, but we have a lot of good players.
“They rely more on set-pieces so we have to be aware of that and be strong and confident.
“I think our football will pose problems for them because if you are a big guy you’re never the fastest.
“We have to move a lot, touch the ball only one or two times and then try to find the net.”
Bodde insists he is confident Swansea’s form will improve despite a record of one win from their opening eight league games.
“It is our second season in the Championship and I think in the last few weeks we’ve done well,” he said.
“In the first few weeks we were trying to do well, but we had some bad luck with a lot of injuries and suspensions.
“We have faith in ourselves and we’re sure everything is going to be ok.”
