Counago was the subject of transfer interest from the Swans in the summer – with the Tractor Boys having accepted a £500,000 bid from the Swans for the striker.

However, that move never materialised after the Swans and the player failed to match personal terms and Counago says that there was no chance of that deal ever going through.

He said “A move to Swansea was never serious.  I wanted to stay at Ipswich”

Counago is yet to hit the net in 7 appearances this season for the struggling Tractor Boys.
