Craig Beattie netted his 3rd goal in as many away games with a free-kick before Cedric van der Gun ran away to make it 2-0 with a clinical finish for his first Swans goal.
Sousa told the BBC: “It was not an easy game for us because it’s a team [Scunthorpe] with a lot of motivation.
“In two of their last few games they won against Sheffield United and Newcastle, two important teams.
“We put our identity in the game, we controlled the game, we accelerate the game when we want and… I’m very happy because we dominate a lot.
“But I think we need to score goals and I think we need to be more clinical.”
