The Swansea City wide man opening the scoring against Cardiff yesterday, seven months after doing the same at Ninian Park in a 2-2 draw.
Dyer was on hand to head home the ball in the penalty area to give the Swans the lead inside ten minutes en route to a thrilling 3-2 victory over their local rivals.
And with the result taking the Swans unbeaten run to 10, Dyer declared them part of the promotion race as he told BBC Sport “People have take notice because this run has gone on too long.
“We have been in the background and people saying ‘yeah they’re good but’ and other clubs have had the coverage.
“But we’ve proved our capabilities as we’ve beaten West Brom and now Cardiff so people must realise that we’re not just a good footballing side, but we’re going to be promotion contenders.
“We have one of the best defensive records in the Championship and now we’re starting to score goals and winning games so now we can only go up from here.”
