Swansea City’s captain for the day was savouring every moment of being part of a league victory over their local rivals that lifted them into the division’s top 10 – taking their unbeaten run to ten games in the process.
Speaking after the game to the Western Mail, Tate said “Money can’t buy the way I’m feeling after that victory.
“It’s the best feeling in the world. I can’t even begin to do it justice.
“Nothing has come close to it, not even the Hull City game.
“It was my best Swansea victory, without a doubt.
“Everyone knows the history and rivalry between the (Cardiff) fans and myself.
“They don’t like me and I don’t like them. That’s how it goes in football derbies.
“But it’s not just about that. We have real expectations to get into the play-offs and this was another three points towards that.
“Our defensive run was never going to go on forever, but the most important thing was the three points,” said Tate.
“Our fans will really enjoy this victory and the players will enjoy this victory.
“But then it’s all about preparing throughout the international break for our next game.”
