The Swansea City defender will come up against Jonas Gutierrez and Fabricio Coloccini who will line up for the home side at St James Park tomorrow as the Swans take on league leaders Newcastle.
And the Argentinian has promised not to be in awe of his fellow countrymen who are both full internationals and in the case of Coloccini cost £9.5m – more than the entire Swansea City squad put together.
Speaking to the Evening Post, the Fed Express said “When I was at Espanyol I played against Barcelona and I played against Messi. I played with him as well
“To me, he is the best. The best player and the best person.
“I was playing in Spain so I know about Coloccini and Gutierrez as well.
“I think they are very good players and if I can I’m going to try to speak with them after the game.
“But Newcastle have a very good squad with a lot of good players.
“My father might come over for tomorrow, I’m going to try to buy him a ticket because it’s a special game.
“It is strange because we are in the second division and normally when you’re in the second division you don’t play international players, especially from Argentina,” he said.
“But it’s not like a dream because I think we are good players and we are playing in the second division as well.”
