The Swansea City defender has been linked with a Premiership move after a string of impressive performances capped off with him captaining his country for the first time last month.
Newspaper reports suggested that Roberto Martinez was ready to move in for the man he used to manage with speculation also of further interest from other Premier League clubs.
But they have all been dismissed by the Swans Chairman who told the Evening Post “These sorts of rumours are just part of football,” said the Swansea chairman.
“When anybody is relatively successful in the Championship, there is always something about players moving on.
“Players will get good publicity when their team is doing well.
“Ashley is a strong defender, he is playing well and he has had extra publicity recently because of his achievements at international level.
“Any speculation that comes with that is just something we have to put up with.
“Ashley has recently signed a long-term deal and we wanted him tied down,” Jenkins added.
“In this day and age you can never say what is going to happen in the future, but what we do know is Ashley is settled in Swansea and he enjoys playing for our club.
“I haven’t heard from anyone about him โ there have been no inquiries about any of our players, and we hope it stays that way.”
