Pratley scored twice on Saturday to give the Swans their first ever win at Hillsborough and send them into the festive season in 5th place with many dreaming of a Premier League place for next season

Speaking to the Evening Post after the game, Pratley said “We haven’t scored that many goals

“We haven’t conceded many either, but we know we need to take our chances better than we have.

“We need to be more clinical, because if we do that we will win more games.

“It’s nice to get a couple of goals, but winning is the most important thing.

“It doesn’t really bother me too much who scores. It’s only when you lads start saying in the papers that midfielders have got to score more.

“At times we gave the ball away too easily,” Pratley conceded.

“Especially after we went 1-0 up, they had us under pressure — but you are going to get that when you come to a place like Sheffield Wednesday.

“The boys have to take some credit for dealing with that. We were missing a few players — Leon Britton wasn’t in the squad — and for me he is one of our best players.

“That just shows you that anyone can come in and do well.”
