David Cotterill’s stunning first Swansea goal wasn’t enough to send the Jacks through to the 4th round of the FA Cup as Andy King and Dany N’Guessan struck back in the second half to win it for the Foxes.

The game very much mirrored the opening day fixture at the Walkers Stadium – Sousa’s first game in charge of the Swans – when comeback goals from Lloyd Dyer and N’Guessan handed three points to Nigel Pearson’s men following Ashley Williams’ opener.

“It was the best 11 we could have put out,” the Swans boss said.

“Those we left out all had the flu.

“It was a balanced game between two good teams who play different types of football.

“It was a great strike from David Cotterill. We work hard to score goals from outside the box and it is something we need to do more often.

“They created problems for us at the set piece. We defended well but these things can happen in the course of a game, they are very strong in that area.

“I’m down because I’m out of the cup. It’s a prestigious competition and brings money into the club.”
