Gorka Pintado’s first goal of the season was enough to win Swansea City the game against their promotion chasing rivals and left them in 4th place in the division at the end of play.
And that in itself was enough to see Swans boss Paulo Sousa piling on the praise as he told the official site “My players deserved everything they got.
“They showed spirit, character, quality and personality. It was superb to see and I am very proud to work with these fantastic lads.
“The team is starting to grow in maturity with every performance and that was the difference today to our previous two defeats to Leicester this season.
“We showed outstanding quality in our game in the first-half and we could have scored a couple more goals.”
As for maintaining their place in the play-offs, Paulo added: “If we keep doing well we will be there.
“It’s not going to be easy, but now we are a hard team to beat and other clubs all respect us here at the Liberty.”
