The former Swansea City player saw his side dig in and grind out a dull draw at the Liberty – a point that they pretty much came to play for.
“It wasn’t the prettiest game in the world but you can play pretty football down here and most of the time you will come back with nothing,” he told the Coventry official site after the game.
“I thought we defended very well which was pleasing in the light of the last couple of games where we conceded late on and although our ball retention wasn’t the best we managed to keep them quiet.
“Apart from them hitting the post in the first half and Sammy Clingan’s free-kick there was not a great deal for either goalkeeper to do but we entertain Blackpool at the Ricoh on Saturday, who play a similar way to Swansea, and this result will give us a bit more confidence going into that game.”
