Tate – We Don’t Have Much Go Our Way

The Swansea City vice captain was speaking after the Swans extended their unbeaten run after victory over Derby having been denied in cruel fashion against Plymouth just four days before.

Speaking to the Evening Post, Tate said “It does feel like we are up against 14 sometimes, we felt hard done by against Plymouth and again at Derby, but we just have to rise above it like we did at the weekend.

“We don’t seem to have had too much going our way, and that’s probably because we are seen as an unfashionable club.

“But we are so used to it now that it doesn’t bother us that much.

“We are fourth now and no-one can take that away from us. It’s a great testament to the lads and the spirit we’ve got.”

Swansea have fingers crossed that more of the big refereeing decisions will go their way during the final 14 games of the regular Championship season, starting when Peterborough visit the Liberty next Saturday.

“We hope things will even out โ€” but then I have been hoping that for a long time,” Tate added.

“There’s no getting away from it, the majority of decisions have not gone our way in the last few games.

“We would like to see more consistency, but right now it doesn’t seem as though we are going to get it.”
