Speaking on the official Swansea City website, Sousa was confident ahead of the game but aware that the Swans cannot take their bottom of the table opponents lightly.

Victory for the Swans will push them closer to their play off target and Sousa will want to see the team maintain the only unbeaten Championship record in 2010.

Sousa said “It will be difficult because in this competition it’s always hard to get results

“We need to concentrate, be 100% focussed and bring a good intensity to our game because it’s always difficult to beat your opponents, especially when they come to the Liberty.

“They [opposition] close down all the spaces, they drop, create a low block defensively and will cause us some problems to find space, so we will have to be at our best.

“And with a new manager they will still be looking for the best squad all the time, and being at the bottom they will come to us with all the desire to get a result and for that we will need to be prepared.”
