The former Swansea City defender made the switch to Elland Road during the summer but believes that the Swans have everything in place ready for another play off push this season.

"At Swansea we were in the top six all season and, in my opinion, we were playing the best football in the Championship, but sometimes that isn't good enough," he told the Evening Post.

"We lost a couple of games and Blackpool got in there in the end.

"Swansea have the same team. They will try to play and I think they will do well. They have a good manager and they are working hard.

"They will try to be in the top six again, and they can do it, but I came here because I believe we can be top six.

"I think we have a good squad and we have to work to that.

"Swansea is a good club, but for me, I've never seen people like here, believing in us and each other," he said.

"The difference between the two clubs is the history because Leeds has a massive history."
