The Swansea City manager was talking after his side picked up their biggest away win of the season to maintain the pressure on the leading two in the division.
But he believed that despite the result they have played better than that as he explained to the official site after the game.
“We’ve played better but I can’t complain,’ to control the game like we did, keep another clean sheet and score three goals is very pleasing.
“We didn’t create as many chances as normal, but we still could have scored four or five in the end.
“Palace have some wonderful young talent here who can cause you a real problem. They’ll be okay come the end of the season.
“But the best teams start quickly and finish strongly – and that’s exactly what we did.”
The only downside for the Swans was the booking of Darren Pratley which means he will miss next week’s South Wales derby
“I thought it was a very, very harsh booking,” said Brendan. “At that point of the game when the game is dead, the referee could very, very easily award the free kick and no-one would say anything.
“We’re very disappointed for Darren because he’s been outstanding this season.”
