Legg will be an observer for Sunday’s derby and knows the experience everyone will be going through having played for both sides during his career.
And he will watch on as Ashley Williams breaks a record that is jointly held between himself and Gilbert Beech of 106 consecutive league appearances for an outfield player.
Assuming Williams starts it will be his 107th successive league game for the club and Legg couldn’t be more pleased for the Wales international.
“I received a plaque for the achievement, and I got a phone call last week telling me he was going to equal it
“It’s a fantastic achievement for Ashley Williams. It goes to show what a good player he is and what managers think of him, because Roberto, Paulo and Brendan have all stuck with him.
“He’s been consistent in his performance and fortunate with injuries โ you need a bit of luck as well as ability.
“Records are there to be broken and it’s fantastic for me to have gone this long with it. Now I hope he goes way past it.
“I rate both centre-backs at Swansea, becauseย Garry Monkย is excellent as well
“You don’t skipper your country unless you’re a very good player.”
