Chelsea, Plymouth, QPR, Charlton, Crystal Palace, Birmingham and Wigan have all had the benefit of the 21 year old at some stage in a career but it is Swansea where he appears to be settled and was rewarded this week with an England Under 21 call up.

Eight clubs in a period of less than four years is some going but Sinclair has enjoyed varying lengths of loan spell and varying degress of success at the clubs before Brendan Rodgers spent £500,000 to make him a Jack back in the summer.

11 goals later and Sinclair will be looking to help the Swans back to winning ways this afternoon enjoying his football now as much as at any time in his career.

“It just feels good to be settled,” he told Wales on Sunday.

“I’ve got a house up in the Neath Valley and I have my family only a hour-and-a-half away, so it’s easy for them to come down and watch me in games. When I was on loan, they’d have to travel three hours or so just to see me get five minutes.

“It’s great for everyone that we all know there’s 90 minutes for me at the weekend and I’m thriving on it.

“When you look at my statistics, I haven’t got a huge amount of games to my name – but I feel like I’m experienced at the same time

“I’ve had the benefit of being at a massive club like Chelsea, but moving around so much and being at so many clubs means I’ve been able to go out and experience things in a short space of time.

“I’ve been able to see the bigger picture a bit better than perhaps others might.

“Now I’m settled I can appreciate it more and in return people are seeing my qualities coming out more and more.

“You can’t show what you’ve got when you’re not playing every week and those opportunities have been limited for me.

“Now I’m at a club where it knows where it’s heading and what it wants to do, and because of that I know where I’m going and what I need to do to get there.

“It was down to the manager,” says Sinclair on the move. “He was the key.

“I didn’t know much about Swansea, about the place, what it would be like living in Wales. But I knew the manager. I trusted him.

“And I’m glad I did because I’ve come into a side with some top-class lads who want to play football which we’re showing to everyone in the league.

“Yes, the system suits me and I’m enjoying playing there, but the manager knowing me was the important thing. Having belief in me, that was huge.

“I’m having to come to terms with defenders doubling up on me and I’m having to work out how to adapt to that, to come up with different movements and game-plans so I can still get on the ball and run at defences,” he says.

“I’m still learning, but I love getting on the ball and looking to do something, to get past someone and create something. It’s why you play football.

“It’s all part of getting that experience of playing games now and it’s helping me develop. I want to be the player I can be.”
