The Swansea City manager will be forced to shuffle a defence which has become watertight because of an injury to Garry Monk and a suspension for Alan Tate.
Both will miss the weekend trip to Doncaster but that does not worry Rodgers as he explained to the Evening Post.
“We will have to make a couple of changes, but we have got great players like Albert Serran to come in,
“He is the perfect cover player in this squad and whenever he’s been called upon he has been outstanding. He is in contention along with Neil, a young guy who has done very well. They will obviously come into the frame.
“The whole idea is to build a squad which can cope when injuries come. We have not had many, which is a tribute to the staff here and the fitness of the players.
“But sometimes injuries come in games that you can do nothing about and you have to deal with that.
“Neil was outstanding in his last game at Crystal Palace. He has done really when he has played and he is fresh, so there’s no problem there,” added Rodgers.
“In the game at Watford, Albert was outstanding too.
“These players know the system well, so they will slot in with no problems.”
