Warnock’s QPR will defend their top of the league position on Boxing Day against the Swans and the manager admits that he does not get his side in on Christmas Day.
The Swans will train before travelling to London but Warnock prefers a different approach “I’ve trusted them the last few years on Christmas Day to do their own thing,” Warnock told the Evening Post.
“Some would have to spend an hour or two travelling in and back for half an hour of training, and I’m not a big believer in that. I think they would be better off with their feet up.
“Besides, with the technology we have these days, like heart monitors, our fitness coach would be able to tell if they have been out drinking too much on Christmas Day.
“They know we can check up on them, put it that way.”
