Dyer put in a top class display as the Swans returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Barnsley after a poor run of form that had seen them drop down into 4th place.

Now back in third and looking to continue the form on Saturday against Reading, Dyer told the Western Mail “We just had to get the belief back into the side and get back to playing how we usually do. It all came together.

“The manager just wanted us to keep playing the way we always do.

“Every team has bad spells and it is not like we are down at the bottom of the table.

“We are up there and even the rest of the top teams, like Cardiff, QPR, are losing games so it happens.

“It’s how you get through it that shows your character.

“As long as we keep doing the right things, playing as a team and working as hard as we can together than I’m sure there won’t be many blips.”
