“What A First Home Game To Be Back Involved In”

Britton should line up for Swansea City against Cardiff City on Sunday after making his first start for the club since his return in Tuesday’s win at Bristol City.

Britton was forced to watch the first meeting between the two sides this season on television following his move to Sheffield United in the summer but he is now back and trying to help lift the Swans into the Premier League.

He told the Western Mail โ€œWhat a first home game to be back involved in

โ€œI could not have picked a better game. Itโ€™s been a great game to play in over the years.

โ€œI was gutted to miss the one earlier in the season.

โ€œSwansea went there and dominated, kept the ball and really deserved the win.

โ€œThey showed theyโ€™ve really progressed from last year.

โ€œIt will be my first game back at the Liberty so it would be a nice one to be involved in and to be back amongst the fans.

โ€œTheyโ€™ve been brilliant with me and hopefully they will be the same on Sunday.”

Britton though missed some of the derby last time around as he explains โ€œI was down in London and went to my sisterโ€™s toย watch the game, but she got caught in traffic and I missed the first 15 minutes which I wasnโ€™t happy about

โ€œI was sat waiting outside her flat, Iโ€™d told her to make sure she was there 10 minutes early, but there was a bit of traffic and I missed the start.

โ€œI wasnโ€™t happy about it and I let her know! When I got to watch it on the television I was wishing to be part of it.

โ€œNow Iโ€™m grateful Iโ€™ve got the opportunity to be back involved in one of the derbies.

โ€œItโ€™s amazing when you think no side has done the double, but the games are so tight and unpredictable,โ€ said Britton.

โ€œWeโ€™ve won at their place, but thereโ€™s no guarantee going into Sunday we are going to win.

โ€œIt would be a great achievement if we could be the first of the two clubs to do it.

โ€œTheyโ€™ve got a fantastic squad, a lot of players withย Premier Leagueย experience and a lot of firepower.

โ€œBut the Liberty has been very good for us since weโ€™ve moved there.

โ€œItโ€™s very tight between the two teams and being at the top end of the Championship adds a bit of spice.

โ€œItโ€™s nice to go into the derby with a win under our belt, but we know the game with Cardiff will be a very difficult one.

โ€œOver the last couple of seasons theyโ€™ve been very tight games.

โ€œThe whole squad will want to involved in that game.

โ€œ Itโ€™s the one you want to be involved in because of how much it matters to people.

โ€œI want to play in it, Joe Allen wants to play in it and Iโ€™m sure every member of the squad does.

โ€œItโ€™s not just Joe, itโ€™s Kemy (Agustien), Andrea (Orlandi). The competition is very hot in midfield and has been for years. But it keeps you on your toes and when you get a chance you know you have to take it.

โ€œAll we can do is work hard in training and try and earn our place.

โ€œWhoever plays will get the support from everyone else.โ€
