The Swansea City manager could create history this afternoon if his side complete a league double over Cardiff City – no side has manged that in all the history of the Welsh derby.
And that alone is an incentive for most in South West Wales to secure victory but Rodgers knows it isn’t going to be easy in front of a sell out crowd at the Liberty Stadium.
“I respect them – they have a terrific manager and some terrific players and we know there’s a threat there.” he told Wales on Sunday
“But if we play with the aggression and charisma we showed at the Bristol City 2-0 win on Tuesday we have a great chance.
“We were outstanding at their place earlier in the season and we’re looking for a similar performance today.”
