The Swansea City defender was sent off in the first minute of the first leg clash at Nottingham Forest for a high challenge on Lewis McGugan.

The Swans – after reviewing video evidence – felt that they had grounds for appeal but the appeal was rejected by a FAW committee this moring and Taylor will now sit out a three match ban as a result of the red card.

This means that he will miss tonight, any potential play off final and also at least one game next season – two if the Swans lose this evening.

Alan Tate is almost certain to step in at left back with Garry Monk and Ashley Williams forming the central defensive partnarship.
