The Tottenham Hotspur and Wales star says he will be supporting Swansea City when they take on Reading in the winner takes all £90m match up.

Bale told Wales on Sunday “Swansea have been unbelievable all season with the way they play football.

“They probably play the best football in the Championship so they deserve to be in the Premier League.

“They have a massive game on Monday and hopefully they will do it and get to the Premier League.

“I’ll be supporting them all the way.”

Bale is friends with Swans player of the year Nathan Dyer and he revealed that the wide man has been in touch with him “He’s already been texting me

“I speak to Nathan quite a bit and hopefully Swansea can go up and we can have a good battle.

“He thinks he can get the better of me so we will soon see if he gets there.

“It will be good see Swansea in the Premier League and nice to be able to see one of my mates there to.

“It would be massive for Welsh football. We’ve got a few Welsh players in the Premier League now and it’s good for the international team that we have more players getting that experience of playing at the top level.

“It would also encourage more people to get into football so it would be massive for the country not just for Swansea.

“The more players in the top flight the better for Wales and Gary Speed. The more experienced Premier League players we have the better we will become as a team.”
