Harley will next season have a shot at the Premier League with Swansea City capping a remarkable rise from Weston to Swansea via Exeter City.
Harley has yet to feature for the Swans first team but watched on on Monday as they sealed their historic promotion that lifted them back to football's top table.
He told the Express & Echo "I'm buzzing because we have gone up, but because I haven't played for the team yet it's a funny one as you don't feel 100 per cent part of it. But it's still a good feeling.
"It's amazing really. When I was on a bit of a downward spiral and playing for Weston, if someone had said to me then that I would get back into the League, at any League club, I would have taken that of course.
"But to have a shot at the top league is just something else really.
"I never thought 'can I get to the Premier League?'. No one asked me because it was that far away
"I always believed I could get back into the League, but to get to where I am now is just amazing.
"It was a good game. It got a bit tense but I think we were the better team overall.
"Reading scored so early in the second half that they were always going to have a bit of momentum, but it was great in the end.
"I'm buzzing for the lads, they deserve it because they have been brilliant all season and they have helped me get to the Premier League.
"I thought I was possibly going to leave Exeter this time last year, after we beat Huddersfield there was a bit of interest and Swansea were one of the clubs that were interested at the time.
"Swansea was always the club I wanted and my agent wanted and he kept pushing for that one, and in the end it came off.
"I think they were second when I signed, then they dropped into the play-offs and now they have gone up, so it could have worked out any better."
