The players are both out of contract at Swansea City but both have boosted Brendan Rodgers with the news that they would like to sign new contracts and play for the club in the Premier League.
Speaking to the Western Mail, Rangel said “I hope to stay, “I have been a big part of this team.
“It is out of my hands and over the next few weeks we will see.
“Sometimes you have to wait for a chance, bids have been rejected before, but I think it is better to go up yourself with the team you are playing for.
“Swansea gave me a chance to play as a professional and I think I have paid them back.
“I have helped them in two promotions. Everyone knows I am out of contract, but I hope to sort something in the future.
“I have not spoken to anyone. The chairman said in November he didn’t want to speak about contracts until the end of the season, so we have just focused on getting promotion.
“We have got it now so we will see over the next few days and weeks what will happen.
“We only have about four or five weeks before pre-season so it is going to be exciting times.
“I just want to enjoy this moment, it is one of the biggest moments in Swansea City’s history so we have to enjoy it.
“I can’t think about the past, that’s gone. The present is most important and I am glad to have achieved a promotion.
“It’s an amazing feeling for everyone at the club. We deserve to be in the Premier League.”
De Vries added “Yeah, of course I want to stay, we are in the Premier League, that’s the biggest factor
“I haven’t been thinking about my future at all, I have just been focusing on getting this club promoted and that was always going to be my main target,
“Months ago they gave me an offer, but at the time it did not feel good so I wanted to wait until the end of the season.
“I just wanted to wait and see where the club was standing. I just wanted to see where the club was headed as well.
“I spoke with the gaffer a few months ago and we had a great feeling inside that we could fight until the end of the season.
“It is what I said to the chairman as well, individually, and they respected my choice to wait until the end of the season.
“We will wait and see what happens.”
