Senna's agent said that a conversation with Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has interested Senna and that he is not dismissing the chance of the next stage of his career being in South Wales and the Premier League.
Speaking to the Western Mail Ely Coimbra said “Marcos Senna had a previous conversation by phone with Swansea manager Mr Brendan Rodgers and that made him very proud and honoured with the possible interest of Swansea to have him in the squad for the Premier League.
“Marcos is very happy with the possibility and of course keen to play Premier League football, but we want to make very clear that we are right now on preliminary contacts.
“But of course Swansea City can be a very attractive option, since Mr Rodgers explained to Marcos his ideas about his team and part of Swansea’s project – which pleased him a lot – and obviously because of the nice and vibrant city of Swansea.
“No transfer can be based on salary alone, at least by our point of view.
“Any transfer presupposes a lot of important and delicate questions, such as the player’s family, the aspirations and the quality of the team, the city and the place where the player is going to live, the challenge involved, and, of course, also the financial matter.
“We think that’s because such transfers take time to be consolidated, and we understand that, as natural, once it is done it represents changes for everybody.”
