Nathan Dyer insists that the Swans head to Stamford Bridge this weekend with the belief that they can scare Chelsea
Dyer scored his first Premier League goal last weekend in the 3-0 demolition of West Brom at the Liberty and that has given the squad extra confidence of this weekend’s trip to Chelsea.
The game will be their third away game of the season and follows on from the games against Man City and Arsenal – both venues where the Swans gave a very good account of themselves but ultimately came away empty handed at the end of the game.
But Dyer told the Western Mailย โIt was always about getting that first goal because I knew once that went in we could kick on and thatโs what happened last week
โI think we showed in that game we are ready for the Premier League and itโs brilliant for us to take that into the Chelsea game.
โWe have always had good confidence and as much as it will be a tough test we can look forward to it because we can scare them.
โAny team can scare anyone in this division and you only have to look at Blackburn beating Arsenal.
โWe know it will be tough but itโs always about how you play on the day and we have been playing very well of late and we can take that into Saturday.
โI think we have the attributes to be good Premier League players.
โWeโve taken a first step to doing well last week and we will look to carry that on.โ
