Coyle Confident In His Team

Owen Coyle will arrive in Swansea this weekend confident that his Bolton side can turn around their fortunes

Coyle has seen his side slump into the bottom 3 despite a stunning start to the season when they beat QPR 4-0 to top the table for 48 hours at the start of the weekend.

Wanderers have lost 12 of their last 14 Premier League fixtures when you factor in the end of last season and that has led to rrumours in the North West that another change of manager may be on the way just over 6 months after Coyle led them to a FA Cup semi final.

But he remains confident and told the Western Mailย โ€œI am certainly confident that we have good players and a good team

โ€œI also certainly know that I am a better manager today than I have ever been.

โ€œYes, there are trials and tribulations, but that is the nature of football.

โ€œIf you thought it was going to be smooth, then you know you are in the wrong game.

โ€œYou are always going to be tested and what you have to do is stand up and be counted.

โ€œConfidence might have taken a dip with one or two of the players.

โ€œBut it is up to them now to come through that and show their character and quality โ€“ and not be worrying about making mistakes.

โ€œWe must not feel sorry for ourselves,โ€ he said.

โ€œYou need to get out there, working ever so hard, looking to bring your quality and show people what you can do, not worrying about what you canโ€™t do.

โ€œThat has to be the focus. They have to be aggressive and positive in everything they do, and when they do that, they will win their games. Iโ€™ve no doubt about it.โ€
