Jan Molby admits he is delighted to see the Swans back in the big time
The former Liverpool legend and one time Swansea City manager will see two of his former clubs lock horns this afternoon with three Premier League points at stake.
Molby said “I know it’s a city famous for its passion for rugby, but there’s also great passion for football.
“The key was always going to be leaving the Vetch Field and they’ve now got a fantastic new home.
“I had a great time there and I’m really pleased to see them back in the top flight. They play a brand of football I enjoy and it’s great they have stuck to their principles.
“I feared for them quite a bit trying to play that way, but their home form has been excellent.
“They keep the ball really well and have some real talent in players like Scott Sinclair and Danny Graham.
“They’ve certainly made a decent start, but tomorrow’s clash at Anfield is a game Liverpool simply have to win.
“We’ve had problems against newly-promoted teams.
“Norwich made it difficult for us recently and Swansea will do the same.
“There will be frustrating periods when Swansea keep possession and we will need to be patient.
“When we get the ball we need to make the most of it.
“They will leave gaps and we have to ensure we make our extra quality count.”
