Brendan Rodgers knew that patience was the key in the Swans 2-0 win over Fulham at the Liberty
Rodgers wa sa happy man after second half goals from Scott Sinclair and Danny Graham earned the Swans a well deserved victory over their visitors from London.
Rodgers said after the gameย “We knew we had to be patient because they (Fulham) defend well
“In the first half our passing and movement was very good but we just couldn’t make the breakthrough.
“It was an important win for the squad and it was very much a group win today.”
Rodgers also gave special praise to Scott Sinclair for his first goal of the season from open play and saidย “I thought he was excellent
“He’s always looking to score as he’s a natural goalscorer. He was a real threat today and he earned his goal.
“Another clean sheet is fantastic for us,” he said. “I didn’t think it was a penalty but it was a key moment in the game and the penalty save was excellent.
“A good goalkeeper will get you up to 10 points during the season and we know we’ve got a top keeper on our hands.
“It’s a busy month and it’s one where I need to trust the squad,” he said. “All the players have been brilliant and today they have delivered a fantastic result.”
