The Swans will see their squad tested over the next three days as they face two games within 48 hours of each other
Brendan Rodgers has already insisted that he would need to rotate some of his squad over the Christmas period and he has not swayed from that belief as he looks forward to fixtures against Tottenham and Aston Villa.
He told the Evening Postย “We have looked at the block of three games in this period starting with QPR and then trying to work forward to Tottenham and Aston Villa
“It’s incredibly difficult to do that, especially with a squad like we have.
“We need to have players up for a big game against Spurs, who are flying, and then we have to go to Aston Villa and try to get this first away win.
“It’s humanly impossible to play the same team in those three games, so we’ve no choice but to change things.
“We are going to have to look at maybe five changes to the side which starts against Tottenham when we go to Aston Villa.
“I see every game as an opportunity,” he added.
“I see our home games as an opportunity. We have a great record at home and great confidence at home.
“Spurs are going to provide a great test for us, of course, and we then have to pick a side to go out on Monday and play another important game.
“Can we go to Villa and break our duck away from home?
“I think we have got a chance in both games and they are both equally as important for us but in different ways. We will try to pick sides who can give us a chance against Spurs and against Villa.”
