Colin Pascoe admitted that the Swans always knew that victory at Barnsley would be tough as the Swans progressed into the 4th Round
The Swans assistant boss said after the victory at Oakwellย “We always knew it was going to be a tough tie but we’re pleased we got through it
“We were disappointed that we went behind and Barnsley deserved to go in front, but it was good for the players to respond straight away and it was a great finish from Angel.”
After scoring an equaliser immediately after going behind, the Swans made a dream start to the second period when Graham lashed home from 35 yards.
“You always want a quick start and we were playing with the wind in the second half and Danny has hit a screamer and it was a great finish,” said Pascoe. “And Nathan’s goal was a great team move for us to go 3-1 up.
“After they had got the second goal we took our foot off the pedal, which we are disappointed with,” he said. “But fair play to Barnsley, they put us under pressure and when they got the second they were pushing for an equaliser.
“It was a credit to both teams really as both ourselves and Barnsley tried to play some football throughout.”
