Graham – We Wanted To Build On Our Run

Danny Graham says the Swans wanted to build on their Christmas form when they went to Barnsley on Saturday

Graham scored twice as the Swans won 4-2 at Oakwell to earn themselves a trip to either Macclesfield or Bolton in Round 4 making it two wins and two draws for the Swans since they lost 1-0 at Everton just before Christmas.

And Graham told the Evening Postย “We wanted to build on the run we had over Christmas

“We had a point against Tottenham and we followed that up with a great win over Aston Villa.

“To come to Barnsley and play how we did, in difficult conditions, was pleasing for everyone.

“The conditions didn’t help, but I thought at times we played some really good stuff, so to win 4-2 and get two goals is very nice,” Graham added.

“Angel Rangel popped up with a goal at an important time for us and we took that on into the second half.

“The most important thing was to get through.

“It was a tough game and we are delighted.”
